I have been working on logos for other projects recently, and wanted to try my hand at a more classical-crest design. Choosing my subject was easy; I have never taken a course more deserving of having its own crest than Parasitology, at Simon Fraser University.
The surrounding latin translates to “Wash your hands; boil your water; cook your food”. The images used in the crest are all things we focused on (for at least a memorable amount of time) in the course. You may recognize Ascaris (bottom), and the other two parasites are Coccidia (left) and Giardia (right). The central image is an antibody.
